Monday's Beauty Bargain Of The Week - Night Time Rollers

So as many if us love a bit of volume in our hair, I for one love me some :) I decided that this Monday had to be about the leave in rollers from Penny's
There are 8 in a pack and only €2.50. The fact that they are pink is an added bonus as some of you may already know or noticed I love anything pink!! :)
I would recommend that when buying these pick up more than one pack unless you have short fine hair.

These rollers can be put in your hair the night before and are sift enough to sleep in... You will still feel them in your hair and might irritate some people depending how you sleep. The longer they are in your hair the more the volume and height will last.
I normally pick up a section of hair back comb and spray hair spray to the roots and holding the straight up in a straight line (only picking up hair the width of or slightw smaller than the roller and not too thick of a section) starting at the ends of the hair place roller onto end and roll downwards to the root of the hair. Placing a clip or bobby pin to the roller and as close to the root to hold in place.
Working from the front to the back of the hair so from the fringe to the nape of the neck... This makes it easier to pick the hair up in sections.

When all the hair is in the rollers I lightly spray with hairspray again and leave in all day or the night before depending on the occasion.
Another thing I would suggest is if you have just washed your hair dry off the heavy wet and apply some volume moose to the roots and then pop the rollers in and leave in until hair is dry. You can even run the hair dryer over your hair when all in and then leave in again for as long as possible. This will really give the hair volume and a soft natural curl or shape to the hair.

I'm a massive fan of rollers and almost don't feel right getting ready without them in my hair. There are other brands like Sleep In rollers, and ones that can be picked up in a beauty suppliers also but are more expensive. I chose the Penny's or Primark range because of the price point. At the end of the day when they are applied correctly and left in long enough it doesn't matter which ones you use as long as your getting the effect and look your happy with :)

It can take a bit of getting used to when applying them and depending on your hair lenght you may need someone to give you a hand for your hair at the back, but trust me once you start using rollers you will never get ready or do your hair without them again!!

Let me know if you have any type of hair rollers and how you find them or if you plan on picking some up :)

Mondays Beauty Bargain Of The Week - Penny/Primark Sultry Lashes

What girl doesn't Love a good set of false lashes that Won't irritate the life out of you once their applied??
Well I've got the answer and they are only €1.50 !!! YES €1.50 With them being that price I had to make them a Bargain Or The Week feature.

I've used these lashes since Pennys brought them out which is a couple of years now. They are nice and soft and the band is nice and flexible so they are super easy to apply. They come with an athesive which will do the job but I apply mine with Duo Glue which can be picked up at any Boots store, Mac Cosmetics and Inglot Cosmetics.
The lashes can be re used once you don't get them wet just gently remove the glue from the band and they are good to use again :)
I always apply a layer of mascara to the top lashes and then apply the flase lashes this will help blend both false and natural lashes together. You can lightly apply mascara to the tips of the false lashes if you want to darken them up a bit more.

I cannot get enough of these falseies and they are a must have for anyone who wants to wear false lashes without them looking to heavy, full or heavy.
These can be worn during the day for a day look and also for a night time going out look.
Make sure you stock up when you're in Penny's because when they get re stocked they sell out very quick!!

*What I would suggest that you do is bend the lash in to a C curve shape by pinching either end of the band and slightly bend it back and forward, thus will make the lashes shape better to your lash line when applying them.
Measure the lashes up to you're eyes and placing the smaller end to the inside of you're eye, running it along your lash line if there is any if the lashes coming over the end of you're eye this how much you need to trim off the lashes.
Always trim the lash from the smaller/shorter end.

**Apply a thin layer of glue to the band of the lashes and allow to dry to a tacky consistency and place them as close to the root of the lashes as possible and press you're finger or tweezers on the inner and other corners of the eye.

Let me know if you have tried them or plan on getting them :)

Wednesday's How To - Cover A Blemish

Hi everyone!!
So we all get them at some point or another weather it be a dry patch and false tan has taking too dark to, a pimple or birth mark!!

The question is... Do you know how to cover it??
Fear not I have the answers!!

Ok so what you will need is a peach or pink concealer, foundation and patience!
In the picture below I've shown you a set by set guide using a Catrice concealer pallete which is less than €5. They can be picked up at any from Catrice stand.

Step 1: With a flat brush or sponge apply the pink/peach concealer all over the area you want to cover building it up thicker on the area and lightly around the area.

Step 2: (Optional) Apply a setting powder prefairably a translucent powder with a big fluffy brush pressing it onto the area you are covering. Using the powder will will make it last longer.

Step 3: Apply the foundation you use over the area (making sure its the same colour as you own skin colour) lightly pressing it over the area you are covering as applying too much pressure with only cause the concealer to move. Build up the foundation layer by layer until the pink/peach shade is completely hidding.

Step 4: Using a translucent powder to set the whole area press it into the skin in a dabbing motion all over the area and lightly dusting everywhere else.

** If you are covering an area on the face continue on with the rest of you're makeup.
If you don't normally use translucent powder only apply it to the area you are covering and use you're regular powder on the rest of you're face**

And that's how you cover a blemish, spot, birth mark. Its all a matter of practice, practice and before you know it you will have any area covered in no time!

I hope this has helped and if anyone has any questions feel free to ask ☺

Conefrey's Pharmacy

Hi everyone!!
So I popped into Conefrey's Pharmacy recently in Pearse Street, Dublin 1 and I took a couple of pictures to let everyone see how lovely their pharmacy is!!

Firstly I'm going to tell you about what Conefreys stock in their Pharmacy..

Conefrey's stock a wide range of items and products in their store.
Their skincare range varies which is great because not all pharmacys have a wide range available..
*Uriage
*Ziaja
*Aveeno
*E45
*Eucerin
*Cetaphil
Are all of the ranges Conefrey's stock plus a couple of other ranges.

When it comes to makeup they have made sure to stock a mineral range along with two budget friendly ranges which I love!!
Anneco is mineral makeup which is great for sensitive skin and suits all other skin types. With it being a mineral powder product you can build the products up to achieve a medium to full coverage. Brush sets are also stocked in the pharmacy. With it being a mineral range most of the time they are higher in price range but with Anneco this isn the case :)
The two budget friendly makeup ranges are Wet n Wild and Kubiss which as you all know I'm a big fan of Wet n Wild :)

Conefreys are like most pharmacys when it comes to supplements where they have every supplement you will ever need. The great thing about Conefreys that's different from other pharmacy's and makes them unique..... They stock their own range of supplements.
These are all in the supplement collage below.
Now wait until I tell you about these... I was recently gifted some hair, skin and nails supplement from the lovely Tomas which I have wrote a blog post on recently and you can see just how amazing these are.
The Hair, skin and nail supplementsbare now available in a larger 60 tablet bottle for €13.99. So make sure you get in and pick some up... They are something every girl/woman should be taking right now!! These supplements only have the ingredients needed in each type of supplement which I find brilliant as their are a lot of people out there who can only have certain ingredient, vitamins and minerals. They get a massive thumbs up from me

Now for all the parents out their with small babies and toddlers Uriage baby range is available also... This to me is great many parents out there struggle to find a range of skincare to treat their little bundles of joys skin, from nappy rash to eczema Uriage has a cream suitable for it  so pop in and pick it up.

I think I would need hours to tell you what Conefreys stock so I've lots of pictures below for everyone to see along with all the basics like most pharmacys stock... One thing that stuck out to me when I was in that day was the weighing machine that also can tell you you're bmi, blood pressure and lots of other little things we should all be checking. These machines are rare to see in pharmacys now! Boots used to have them and now not so sure if their still there anymore. They are great if your on you're own little weight loss journey and want to keep track of how your doing.

Personally I think you need to pop into the pharmacy itself to see it for yourself and I've no doubt in my mind that what your looking for will be in store.

Now that I've told you about what is stocked in Conefreys pharmacy I want to tell you all about the lovely staff and atmosphere when I was in with them.
Everyone of the staff where so friendly and couldn't have helped me anymore than they could providing me with information on all the products and ranges. Tomas was there on the day also who was very friendly and such a lovely man to talk to. Tomas kindly sponsored a hamper of over €150 on Cetaphil skincare and lots of Hair, skin and nail supplements to my Ultimate Girls Day Out recently.. Which was an extremely kind gesture!!
What stood out the most was when anyone popped in to fill prescriptions or just to pick up some items, print photos everyone of the staff knew every customer by name and greeted them as they entered and said goodbye when they left... A service like that is hard to come by nowadays!! Such a friendly, polite and genuine bunch of staff and you could tell really enjoyed their job and what they could to for customers... I can see why they are in business for so long!! :)

You can take a look at their facebook page here.. www.facebook.com/CONEFREYSPHARMACY

I will definitely be popping back into Conefreys pharmacy again to stock up on more items and to chat with the friendly staff :)

Beauty Bargain Of The Week - Deals Makeup Gallery Bronzer €1.49

Hi Everyone!!
So this Mondays Beauty Bargain Of The Week is..... Deals Makeup Gallery Bronzer in shade Medium.

I've spoke about this bronzer so much before at master classes, workshops and lessons. I've never come across such an amazing bronzer for only €1.49
The pigment in the powder bronzer is incredible along with its durability!
Its also a dupe for Mac's Give Me Sun bronzer I've shown you in one of the pictures below of them both side by side and there is literally no difference. Only difference is the price.

I have not stopped using this powder bronzer since I picked it up a couple of months ago. I use it everyday to contour on a day to day bases softly and also on a going out contouring look which would be a much stronger contouring look so its easy to use for both looks.

This bronzer can be picked up in any Deals store which are nationwide, because it is such a popular product they sell out quick when the stand is newly stocked up so keep and eye out and stock up when you're there.

Let me know if you have tried it or plan on picking one up!

Wednesday's How To Guide.... Mini Facial

Hi Everyone!!

So this Wednesday's How To Guide was chosen by you and it's on.... How To Do A Mini Facial

A good skincare regime is essential both for your skin and also for a good makeup application... As many of you may know I'm always talking about it at my Master classes.
Weather you take the time to treat yourself to a facial in a salon or at home by using products at home you should try and have a facial every 3 months if possible. In the mean time you can carry out your own Mini Facial at home once a week if you have the time.

Today I'm going to tell you how to do one and also showing you some products from the Ziaja range because they are budget friendly and I've used and still use many if their range. I find their range amazing... Now you can of course use you're own preference on brand or brands to use when doing a mini facial.

I've prices and example's of Ziaja products for a couple of different skin types.

So to start off with doing a facial you should use a cleanser to suit you're skavoiding ta couple k

( A cleaner will get right into the skin and treat and clean the skin.

Step 1..     Cleanse the skin twice... Once will remove any makeup or dirt on the skin.
The second cleanse will really work into the skin and will do its job.
*When cleansing the skin apply it to the whole face and neck and working in a circular motion massage for a minute or two into the skin. Remove with damp cotton wool, cotton pads, or a damp face cloth

(Do not use toner after cleaning as this will only close the pores and the cold temperature will also help in closing the pore)

Step 2..      Now that the face is clean and rid of any makeup and dirt you now remove any dead skin and deep clean the pores (remove blackheads, spots) using and enzyme peel or exfoliater.
This will alloy new fresh skin to come through leaving the skin looking fresh and feeling supple.

*Apply enzyme peel to damp skin all over the face and neck (avoiding the eyes)in a circular motion gently rub peel into the face for a couple of minutes. Leave for 10-15 minutes to soak into the skin (steam on the skin works better so doing this and then standing in the shower or in a kitchen when cooking) Rinse peel off with warm cotton pads, cotton wool or face cloth.

Step 3..     Now that you have done the enzyme peel its time to treat any of your "problem areas" like sensitivity on cheeks, oily Tzone, wrinkles etc so I've listed a couple of examples of face masks in the image.

*Apply the mask to the face and neck avoidingtthe eyes. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes also and remove the same way as with the enzyme peel.. Making sure what you use is warm.

Step 4..    Now that your almost done with doing a facial you use you're toner on the skin to remove any excess products and close the pores. App toner to ddamp cotton wool and in a downwards motion wipe all over face and neck.

Once you have done all the 4 steps you can now apply your serum if you're using one before your day or night moisturizer. The ones your using now should be fine if their doing the job for you and treating the skin. You will notice an instant difference both to look at and how the skin feels. So make sure you try keep up the regime of once a week to keep the skin treated, protected and deeply cleansed.

Thanks for reading and I hope you find this helpful for the next time you go to do a mini facial :)

Monday's Beauty Bargain Of The Week.. Glove Your Body Tanning Mitt

Hi everyone!!
So thus Monday's Beauty Bargain Of The Week ... Glove Your Body Tanning Mitt
Priced at €19.99

Thus tanning mitt is an ESSENTIAL for every tanning fanantic out there!!
Its a soft fleece glove with finger holders inside so as you're hand won't slip while apply your false tan.
Because of its thick lining no tan soaks through onto your hand or you're baby finger which always happens me.

The mitt can be used with mousse, cream and liquid tans and spreads out evenily onto the skin. Looking at the mitt you think it's going to soak up all the product rather than applying to the skin but its quite the opposite.... You and up using less product...which let's face it who wouldn't love that :)

I know you might be saying but its €19.99 how is that a bargain?! Well let me tekk you why.....
It's machine washable (trust Me I've tried)
It looks brand new each time it's washed and doesn't lose its shape or quality in texture.
If you buy a mitt in a chemist it's like 3/4 euro each time and they don't last long at all!! Your lying if you say they do. How many would you buy a year?
Well with this mitt you will only ever buy one and that's no joke or scam for you to buy one its the truth!
So for €19.99 you have a mitt that will last a couple of years and anyone who already has one will agree with me on this.

So get out and get one and save a few quid!!

If you want to have a look at their Facebook page take a look.

Review: Perspirex Antiperspirant

I've been dying to get my hands on this or should I said my armpits ;)
Perspirex Antiperspirant is €9.99 and I picked it up in Boots

So let me tell you about this Amazing did I say Amazing? I ment Incredible roll on deodorant!!
I had heard sooo much about Perspirex but needed to believe it with my own eyes as everyone as we all know is different and products take differently on everyone.
This antiperspirant is ment to reduce sweating and odar. You apply it at night to fresh clean, dry skin every 2 to 3 days.
So I applied it the first night after having a shower its quite strong in smell but that only lasts half a minute at most. Its a little tacky until it dries like most roll on antiperspirants. It did sting a little but take my advice do not apply it after you have shaved because it will sting like hell!!

Now if your like me when you wear certain materials of clothing you automatically sweat even if your cold...like seriously do we really need our underarms to pull this stunt and always when your wearing light clothing?!
If you sweat when stressed, worried or just sweat in general then this baby is for you... So basically everyone needs this in their life!!

I've not stopped using it since the first night I tried it. The difference is crazy I've worn every item if clothing that makes me sweat for no reason to really test it out and I've not sweated at all while wearing  them!! Hard to believe I know!!
I have sweated a little when general sweating normally does occur but not not as much.

Now by using this it does not mean you just apply it and don't wash yourself for 2/3 days... You carry on as normal and and apply it on the second day if you need to apply it earlier than the third day.
You will sweat just not as much as you normally would.

As it reduces odar if you tend have that problem if it reduces the sweat I'm almost certain it would reduce odar quite a lot.

I cannot stress enough how incredible this is so make sure you get it and at least give it a try!!

I've also heard if you have excess sweet on your feet for instance in shoes or with the heat at the moment and not wearing socks with particular foot wear..... You can apply this to the soles of you're feet and it prevents it. In saying that I was wondering if would it also help sweaty palms.... Hhmmm interesting!!

Let me know if you plan on getting it or already have it :)

Wedesdays How To Do.... A Perfect Fakse Tan

Hi Everyone since changing my blog over to blog.spot I basically had to restart it again and with also having the Facebook page each week I keep people up to date with lots of helpful tips and tricks for all beauty related products and regimes.

So this Wednesday's How To Do ... A Perfect False Tan

To have the "perfect" false tan one of the main keys is good skin prep, so by this I mean a good exfoliation is a MUST before you apply your tan.
You should always exfoliate twice a week anyway to remove any dead skin, tan build up and prevent ingrown hair.. But you must exfoilate your skin before tanning. I use my Glove Your Body Exfoliating Mitt every time.
By doing this your skin is nice and smooth and any previous tan is removed.

Next is to moisturise any dry areas of the busy you are tanning so elbows, knees, face, hands and feet are the most common areas.

So once the prep is done now to create the perfect false tan...
*Start off with doing the legs going from the bottom of the legs working your way to the top one leg at a time.
The reason you start at your legs first is because not everyone has a flat stomach so when you go to bend forward to do your legs the tan will rub off onto your stomach creating marks onto areas you have already tanned, or if you pop by your leg onto anything to reach the lower leg flat stomach or not you will hit off areas already tanned!!

So now that the legs are done without applying anymore tan to your mitt you do your feet... Nobody's feet naturally tan as dark as their body so you never apply loads of tan to the feet, and we all have shoe marks or feet sweat on nights out and let's face it sweaty patchy feet just ain't sexy!!
Ok so with one clean sweep go from the ankle right around the foot and toes and back to the back of the foot, this will taj the feet nicely and won't look uneven.

Now that the lower half of the body is done you now move onto the stomach, bum and back (as much as you can) working your way upwards in circular movements. By using circular movements all the area gets tan applied to the skin.
When you work your way up to your chest apply it over the chest and making sure to stop at the bottom of your neck and shoulders.

Your now going to split the top half into two sections or sides... By doing this you will not miss any areas of the body.
Starting on one side work the tan onto the shoulder, around the back of the shoulder as far as you can reach. Then bring the tan down the front of the arm, making sure not to do your hand raising your hand (only hand) towards the sky flip your arm over (now your hand will be pointing the floor) work your way back up your arm towards the armpit. Once that arm is done blend the tan as much as you can around to your back as far as you can reach.
Now move onto the other shoulder and arm using the same method.
If you find your top half doesn't take to tan as well I always advise applying another layer now once the first layer is done.

Now your hands, face and neck are all that's left to do. So starting with your neck only apply a much smaller amount of tan to your mitt work from the bottom of your neck up to the chin in one sweep doing either side at a time.
Do not apply more tan to the mitt and blend up onto the face (only if you tan your face) taking extra care of the hairline and eyebrows making sure tan doesn't get caught in the hairs.

Once the face and neck are done apply a very very small amount to the mitt and do one hand at a time ... Spreading your fingers and making them into a claw like shape in one clean sweep go from the wrist down to the tips of your your fingers and on the way back sweeping over the thumb. Then do the same with the other hand.

Now that you tan is all done take a small amount of moisruriser and rub it back into your hands and lightly over your face... This just gives you extra moisture so the tan will develop better.

Wear loose clothing and do not wear a bra if your wearing clothes that will have that area visible as the straps will mark the skin even if its work loosely. Darker clothes would also be best in case any excess rubs off onto the clothes.

When you have a shower to rinse off the tan DO NOT cover the body in soap or shower gel on on certain parts like under arms etc. Let the water run clear and when you get out pat yourself dry with a towel and apply a thin layer of moisturiser to the body.. Repeating this everyday after to prolong the tan or use a tanning lotion that prolongs your tan.

And that is how to create the perfect tan.
Thanks for reading this and I hope it helps anyone when applying their tan :)

(Picture is from after when I done my tan one night using the tans I use with my fab Glove Your Body tanning mitt to apply it)
